Dear Friends-In conjunction with our sermon series on the Book of Ruth, which is a story of scarcity to abundance, we are inviting the congregation to join us on a food drive for Friday Backpack. Between now and Sept 4, you are invited to pickup up items for the food drive and bring them to the church. On Sundays, we will place your donations around the communion table. On Sept 11, we will bless your offerings and get them out to Friday Backpack to help fight hunger in our local schools.
The most common items needed for Friday Backpack are:
- Peanut Butter in 15oz plastic containers
- Any variety of Chef Boyardee projects
- Chicken Noodle Soup
- Tomato Soup
- Canned Chicken or Tuna in 5oz cans or smaller
