Sunday Morning Worship Info!

Sunday Morning Worship Info!

We are meeting in person and online to glorify Christ together at 9:30AM Sunday mornings! If you are a first time guest, let us know you are coming at pastorshudson@gmail.com. We want to make sure we welcome you when you arrive for worship!

We love children in worship! We have nursery care for ages 0-4 and a Kid's Activity Table and bags for older children. Our Prayer Room off of the balcany has been set up for nursing mothers or a quiet place that parent can sit with their children and still hear the service.

You may also join us online at www.facebook.com/groups/fpclagrande.
Please contact the church office for updates on group gatherings.

Lenten Study and Devotional Info

Lent is almost upon us!  Here are some things coming up that you can participate in as we prepare for the death and resurrection of our Lord.

-Ash Wednesday We are hosting an ecumenical Ash Wednesday service at our church on March 2 at 5:30PM.  Masks are required and we will do the imposition of ashes.

-Book Study Robin, Keith and Laura (as she can join us) are inviting you to a study of Oregonian author Mark Yaconelli's book "The Gift of Hard Things, Finding Grace in Unexpected Places."  The study will be in person starting Marcy 3 at 3PM for approximately an hour.  We will meet over six weeks until April 7.  Each chapter contacts reflection and action sections that we will focus our discussion on and we will cover 2 chapters per week.  If you can't join in person but want to participate virtually, we will see if we can set up a separate time to review the book.  Books are available in the back of the sanctuary.

-PCUSA Online Devotional The denomination is offering an online devotional this year focused on the Matthew 25 initiative.  The devotional has reflection and action items, plus soup recipes for Wednesdays' "Soup and Reflection Time".  Information can be found at https://www.presbyterianmission.org/ministries/today/2022lent/  The Wednesday portion looks like a great way for a person to make extra soup and share the love of Christ with a neighbor and/or fellow church member.

-Daily Scripture Reading  How about spending more time in the scriptures this Lent?  Vanderbilt Divinity School provides a daily reading based upon the Revised Common Lectionary.  For the list of readings, please go to https://lectionary.library.vanderbilt.edu/daily.php?year=C#id113  You can go to this site for the readings or sign up to have them emailed to you.

Plans are in the work for Holy Week and Easter!
