Dear Church,
We are excited for Sunday, Feb. 6 for a couple of reasons. Eastern Oregon Presbytery Executive and Stated Clerk, the Rev. Stephen Kliewer, will be offering the message in worship, and afterwards he will facilitate a Congregational Forum with which we will be discerning and kicking off the events of FPC La Grande in 2022.
Both worship and the Forum will be online as well as in person. We would like you to RSVP for the Congregational Forum, whether you will attend online or in person. You can do that at this link HERE.
Here's a link to the Reflections Newsletter article Laura wrote about this event.
But in case you don't have time to read that article, here are the questions we've asked you to contemplate in preparation for the Congregational Forum:
What are three strengths you recognize in the FPC congregation?
What are three challenges the FPC congregation faces in 2022?
What external problems in Union County and the world might impede our ministry efforts?
What opportunities for ministry do you perceive in Union County and the world? What problem could we work at solving, what need might we work at meeting?
Please think about and pray over these questions, which will form the groundwork of Sunday's Forum experience.
We hope to see you there, one way or another!
In Christ,
Laura and Keith
and the FPC Session
