Sunday Morning Worship Info!

We are meeting in person and online to glorify Christ together at 9:30AM Sunday mornings!

We love children in worship! Our nursery is open, but we do not have a nursery attendant at this time. Parents are invited to listen to the service in the nursery while tending their children.

You may also join us online at www.facebook.com/groups/fpclagrande.
Please contact the church office for updates on group gatherings.

Midweek Connection 12.23.20

This week's FPC Midweek Connection features the fabulous Connie Ingerson and a tour of her beautiful nativities! Just the thing for the day before Christmas Eve.

You can access it here: https://youtu.be/U498Ii2QqIk
Enjoy!

Christmas Eve Information

Happy Christmas Adam!  Since the day before Christmas is Christmas Eve, the day before that is Christmas Adam. We learned that joke from our friend Taylor Gould of La Grande United Methodist, one of our collaborators in the video below, along with Pastor Roberta Smythe (Zion Lutheran and St. Peters Episcopal).

For those of you who are staying home on Christmas Eve (or for anyone who wants the "both-and" option of in-person and at home!), here is our pre-recorded Christmas Eve service. Many thanks to Teagan Null on cello and Connie Ingerson on piano for our portion of the service.   Enjoy!

For those coming to the in-person service tomorrow, the 5PM slot is full.  There are still some openings for 4PM and 6PM so please RSVP here: https://forms.gle/bZr7z52jhvmNqmVe8 (it still has 5PM as an option since I can't figure out how to shut that off without loosing the whole form)

Remember to dress warmly and wear a mask as we will be singing!  Feel free to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a warm drink if you like.  We will have battery tea-lights but you may want to bring a headlamp for the later services to help read the bulletin.  We are meeting outside the sanctuary doors on the portion of lawn near the corner of Washington and Spring.

We are looking forward to celebrating Christ's birth either virtually or in person with you!

Starman and Christmas Eve Reminder

A reminder that tomorrow, Sunday Dec 20th, the Starman will be in the PFC parking lot from 11AM to Noon handing out this year's stars.  We will be Covid safe!

Also, the spots are filling up for the outside Christmas Eve Services Dec 24th!  Remember to RSVP to https://forms.gle/bZr7z52jhvmNqmVe8 or email pastorshudson@eoni.com and let us know which service you would like to attend (4PM, 5PM, 6PM).  Masks are required and we will be social distancing.  Max 25 people per service and the 5PM service is already at 17.  Dress warm.  The weather forecast calls for a high of 37 for the day with a 5% chance of rain.  Feel free to bring a lawn chair, a warm blanket, and even a warm drink.  The services won't be over a half an hour each and we will have a fire going.  The Spirit will warm us as we listen to scripture and sing carols acapella to celebrate Christ's birth.  We will hand out battery tea-light candles and if you might want to wear your headlamp, especially for the 5PM and 6PM services.

If you have been considering coming and are worried about the cold, we will put cones out to allow up to 4 cars per service to park along the street.  You can roll down your window and sing along!  Please still let us know if you want to do this option so we make sure we have enough close parking.

Also don't forget that we will email out a pre-recorded service of lessons and carols we are working on with our fellow pastors from United Methodist Church, Zion Lutheran, and St. Peter's Episcopal churches.  As soon as it is put together, we will get that out to you!

The worship link is: https://youtu.be/eQb9Npzx9S4

Also, remember to come pick up your star from the Starman in the Friendship Center parking lot on Sunday from 11AM-Noon.

Christmas Eve is Coming!!

Happy Advent, Saints!  Christmas Eve is coming and we wanted to let you know what's available in celebrating the birth of the Christ child.

We are creating an ecumenical service of lessons and carols with our pastor friends from Zion Lutheran/St. Peters Episcopal and United Methodist Churches.  This service will be emailed out and posted on Facebook.

We are also offering in-person opportunities.  On Dec 24, there will be 3 outside services near the corner of Washington and 6th (by the wooden church sign).  Each service will be about a 1/2 hour long and will be scripture readings and singing carols acapella by firelight.  Times are 4PM, 5PM, and 6PM.  Dress warm!  We will hand out song sheets and tea lights.  We will also email out the song sheet if you want to have them on your phone.  Masks will be required and please social distance from your neighbor.  We are limiting each service to around 25 people, so please RSPV to https://forms.gle/bZr7z52jhvmNqmVe8 or email pastorshudson@eoni.com to reserve a spot.

Does anyone have some firewood they would like to donate?
